Hello readers,
A quick update on what Winter Violin has been up to lately since Covid-19 came into effect.

• Performed 2 socially distanced strolling violin concerts in May, following eased restrictions.
• Produced a virtual violin concert for senior centers still in lockdown.
• Collaborated with Landolfi Quartet members on two virtual quartet videos.
• Posting "Covid Gig Throwbacks" on my Instagram and Facebook pages

There is still a LOT to do despite reduced gig ability! I plan to keep the videos coming, and keep reaching out to senior centers who may be ready for a concert as time passes and norms resume.

Hello! I'm making some big organizational changes and improvements to WinterViolin.com

• Created several new pages within the Services menu, including a Funeral page with new video
• Added a "Songs" menu with sample selections
  
• Recorded samples to follow
• Changed font colors

Today at Chandler Hill, I received a request from caricature artist Brian Bax. He didn’t have a song in mind at first, but quickly found a song of his taste by Alan Jackson.
I had never played the song before live or in practice, and had last heard it maybe 10 years ago in high school.
Honestly, I’m not sure whether Brian and his partner were overly impressed. However, I did see them mouth the words and nod, and crack a little smile.
What a great experience though!
